Usually when I see Cardinals, it’s like one or two, maybe three, max. Never have I ever seen so many all at once. Every day this week at work I have seen at least ten every morning. They hang out, dig in the rocks, fly away when cars come in, fly back when they leave and get back to foraging. So many at once, so many days in a row, so my curiosity grows. Here’s what I find, other than the few random people who seem to think they are ‘evil’….
First find.
Cardinals encourage us to express our brilliance and reveal our truest selves. Their radiant red is a symbol for us to recognize the gifts in our hearts that we have to give to others in love and friendship.
Here is a quick summary of the attributes & symbolic meaning of cardinals:
Sexuality
Vibrancy
Renewal
Self-reflection
Friendliness
Vitality
Goodwill
Industry
Brilliance
Second find.
Lessons Cardinal Teaches
He teaches people that balancing spiritual ideals with physical needs and pleasures is important for all levels of harmony in life. Another lesson is helping people learn to express truth clearly and confidently.
The cardinal reminds people that diet is very important for physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual well being. He reminds people to maintain a sense of pride and to walk with confidence, nobility and grace.
Third find.
Cardinals show up to teach you responsibility and how to have the courage to be who you are and let yourself stand out in the crowd. When you see this little bird it can often mean a little happy surprise that is coming to “color your world” or to provide a blessing in your life that will encourage you on your current creative or inspired endeavors…..a period where you may be more socially active and involved than usual. They can also speak of successful business developments.
Fourth find.
Such an awesome article, I can’t just cut and paste, you should just go and read, possibly even be inspired whether you are seeing Cardinals or not….
I can’t say with positivity what I think it all means but I do find it positive. If anything they definitely brighten my mornings!
I went to Shreveport, LA to visit family and the bayou. We didn’t get out much but I did get some good video/audio of my Grandparents and my Dad talking about the past, family and everything else in between. I also scored some old Super 8 film of my family when grandparents were still just parents and parents were just babies. I still have more history to get from family until then, here, enjoy my family and the bayou.
On a Thursday I found out about a local photo contest. Friday I pondered about it while I was at work. I decided to go for it. I rushed home skimmed through some photos and printed them off. I ran to the store and got the qualifying matte frames. I busted it out all night. I had twenty something photos printed off and selected six to enter. Saturday I rushed those six to the Tulsa Garden Center just before three, the deadline. Which, I hate saying, kind of worked in my favor…I didn’t have to wait but five days to hear results…
So I won an Honorable Mention on one of my six. Out of 450+ entries, I think I did pretty good to even catch someones eye. We can call this step two of my journey this year. It is a taste of my ability being noticed. More of this to come this year for sure!
Starting my morning with M. Ward. It’s a beautiful thing.
Today I shall play catch up. I have switched to part time hours at work. I am on a quest to find my sanity and chase my dream. My blogs should be more frequent and timely than ever. I have no excuses. This year has already started off with a path clearly marked. I know that all I have to do is keep putting one foot in front of the other. Not let other things distract me from my goals.
P.S. I am supposed to eventually go back to full time. I can already tell you that I don’t know if that is going to happen.
Please be patient with me while I make this home mine.
